Performance Monitoring and Impact Analysis Tool for USAID

Between July 2011 and January 2012 I was contracted by USAID to help their mission in Iraq develop a Performance Monitoring and Impact Analysis tool. As is increasingly often the case, they were faced with the option to license an expensive proprietary system or to follow waves of others and to give open source a try. I helped the mission design and develop the IMS Prototype captured in the attached screenshots using Drupal 7 and several Google APIs.

Election Results with Maps and Charts on Drupal CMS

While on contract with the UN, I created the results site for Wolesi Jirga and Provincial Council elections in Afghanistan.

That was before I delved into Drupal in any depth. Having after-the-fact realized how powerful Drupal was, having been in possession of the public election data, and wanting to prove a concept — I decided to redo things how I would do them now.

Election Results Proof of Concept

I developed the 2005 Afghan Elections Results site when I was on contract with UNOPS to support that year's Wolesi Jirga and Provincial Council elections.

Afghan Election Results

I developed this results progress visualization and delivery solution for the Joint Electoral Management Body (JEMB) while on contract with the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) during 2005.

Observer Registration Site

I developed this observer registration solution for INEC1, the Nigerian election commission, while I was advising INEC on a USAID2 funded technical assistance project that was being executed by IFES3 during 2007.
